Dr Theo Athanasiadis undertook his Otolaryngology training in South Australia and received a PhD in wound healing as part of his training. He then completed a further year of sub specialty training in laryngology based in Auckland (NZ).
In addition he was fortunate to receive the Marjorie Hooper Travelling Scholarship from the RACS that allowed him to visit major laryngology centres in the USA.
Dr Theo Athanasiadis is the head laryngologist at the Flinders Medical Centre Voice Clinic, a Senior Lecturer in laryngology at Flinders University, Visiting Laryngologist to the Royal Adelaide Hospital Voice Clinic and has formed Adelaide Voice Specialists for care of voice disorders with significant experience in treating performing artists.
Theo continues his active academic interest in voice with ongoing research into voice, papilloma and chronic cough.
